I am a Muslim revert who reverted in November 2010. I’m an American, born and raised in the USA. I’ve been told I’m personable, a good cook, patriotic, quirky, motherly, and a good mediator. I’m a happily married woman with a college education. Along with English I can speak Japanese, a little French, and I’m learning Uzbek.

My jihaad is about my struggle to serve Allah. Jihaad does not just involve fighting, especially when it comes to a woman’s jihaad. My struggle, my jihaad, is first to learn the teachings of Islam, then to live out those teachings, and finally to teach Islam to others. This blog is a journey through all these stages as I strive to be a better Muslimah for the sake of Allah.
